Membuat FTP Server di Linux Trustix
FTP adalah singkatan dari File Transfer Protocol, atau disingkat dengan ftp yang menggunakan port 21 dan 20, adalah suatu jalur / media / alat untuk untuk proses transfer file dari suatu server ke server lain dalam jaringan internet. Protokol ini telah lama ada, Melalui prosedur inilah para web developer meletakkan file-file kelengkapan websitenya pada suatu hosting. Dengan ftp web mereka dapat mengerjakan situsnya secara offline, baru kemudian menguploadnya setelah situs tersebut siap di luncurkan
FTP Server yang akan dibahas oleh penulis adalah vsftpd, kerana vsftpd ini sangat mudah di konfigurasi. Software vsftpd ini dikembangkan oleh Criss Evans dari Mythic Beasts Ltd. Berada dibawah License GPL vsftp ini sangat cocok sekali digunakan untuk membangun FTP Server karena berifat Open Source dan kemudahan dalam hal konfigurasinya.

Instalasi VSFTPD

#swup –install vsftpd

Jika vsftpd sudah terinstal maka kita tinggla menkonfigurasi file vsftpd.conf yang ada di directory /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

#vi /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
Editlah file tersebut seperti dibawah ini

setelah filenya di edit kemudian simpan. Jalankan FTP Servernya dengan cara
#service vsftpd start

menentukan atribut file yang di share di FTP ReadOnly atau Write able

mengaktifkan user pada linux sebagai user FTP Server. Jadi setiap orang yang sudah terdaftar di server linux bisa login ke server FTP

Untuk mengujinya browsing dari client menggunakan web browser seperti IE, mozila atau yang lainya..
Ketikan pada address bar ftp://ipserverftpmu atau ftp://domainmu . untuk sebagai model lihat contoh dibawah ini.
